Single Treatment | Series of 3
For best results, we recommend a series of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. A topical numbing cream is applied before every treatment; please tell us if you’re allergic to lidocaine.
Your esthetician will review your skin and history at your first visit to confirm SkinPen is right for you.
1. Consultation. Your esthetician looks at your skin, talks through your goals and builds your treatment plan.
2. Numbing. A topical numbing cream is applied so you stay comfortable.
3. Treatment. SkinPen glides across the treatment area with a hydrating glide serum. Most faces take about 20–30 minutes.
4. Soothe. A calming finish helps settle redness.
5. Aftercare. You’ll leave with simple at-home instructions and product recommendations.
Expect pinkness similar to a mild sunburn for 24–48 hours. Most clients wear makeup and return to normal activities the next day.
SkinPen at Tryst is performed by our licensed estheticians Tayla, Lindsay, Abby, Taylor and Lauryn, all trained on the SkinPen device. Tayla and Lindsay are Master Estheticians.
Your esthetician will recommend the right timing between treatments.
Dermarollers roll needles into the skin at an angle and can cause uneven micro-tears. SkinPen moves its needles straight in and out at a set depth, so every channel is uniform. That's why it's FDA-cleared and why it's gentler, with more predictable results.
Most clients see the best results from a series of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Deeper concerns like acne scarring may benefit from more. After your series, a maintenance treatment every few months keeps results going.
Skin often looks brighter within a week. Collagen builds gradually, so texture and fine-line improvements show over 4–6 weeks and keep improving through your series.
With numbing cream, most clients describe a light vibration or mild scratching. Treatment is quick and well tolerated.
Very little. Expect 24–48 hours of pinkness, like a mild sunburn. Avoid makeup for 24 hours, and avoid heavy sweating, sun and active ingredients like retinol for a few days. Your esthetician will give you a full aftercare sheet.
Yes. Because SkinPen doesn't use heat or light, it's suitable for all skin tones and types.
We'll postpone treatment if you have an active breakout, open wounds, a cold sore flare or a skin infection in the area, or if you're pregnant. Tell us at your consultation about any recent isotretinoin (Accutane) use or other skin treatments.
